On sunny August days; across the rolling foothills of the Provence region of
south-eastern France; these short-lived, fragile and aromatic herbs colour
the landscape a delicate pale purple.
Lovingly protected from the elements by its farmers to preserve its
aromatic, fresh, fruity brightness. Carefully cut, in the traditional way,
then left to dry in the field before distilling the flowers and stems into
the highly prized, precious oil.
